Team legend Xavier Nagas retires age 36, after 17 seasons with AGB Procycling. Nagas was found in the talent feature at a young age, a born hiller and was instrumental in taking the team from division 7 to division 2, with several successful stints in division 1.
Amongst Nagas’s many successes standout results are:
• Currently the only Australian to win both the Australian key hill races, Div 1’s Melbourne – Canberra (#54) and the CoN Sydney (#45) WT A
• Voted the Aleksander Hetland Trophy for Best Hiller – Season 51 (finishing 9th overall in the OCM rankings with 1278 points)
• Retires at 4th overall in Australian all time ranking (7879 points total, 197 points behind third place), with multiple seasons as best ranked Australian rider
• 50 races for the Australian National Team
• 14 wins, 55 total results
